Adams store’s wares tell storiesBy Sarah HaaseWatertownDailyTimes.com

Adams, NY — Just like grandma’s house, everything in Nana Rose has a story behind it.

“This bookcase used to be my mother’s,” said Paula A. Biazzo, owner of Nana Rose, a home decor and gift shop that opened in South Jeff Plaza on April 15. “After she died, none of my sisters wanted it, so I took it. It was in my cellar for years.”

The dual-shelved 1960s bookcase with sliding glass doors was a bland brown until Mrs. Biazzo took a paintbrush to it, giving it a retro feel with a chartreuse green. It holds a Salvador Dali art book and a couple of encyclopedias. It is one of the first things customers see when they walk in the door, but the bookcase is missing one thing.

“I haven’t put a price tag on it,” Mrs. Biazzo said. “I don’t know if I can part with it yet.”

The three-room store includes furniture such as antique tables, retro chairs and couches, a child’s dresser, plant stands and dining room hutches.
