Aeromax donates 2,700 pirate costumes

(Lake Barrington, IL)- Award-winning Aeromax, makers of the Get Real Gear line of children’s and adults’ costumes, has just donated 2,735 pirate costumes to Kids In Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.), just in time for Halloween.

The costumes, which retail for $49.95, were made with a slight imperfection. President Mark Levine decided that they did not meet Get Real Gear’s high quality standards and deemed them unfit for retail sale.

“Instead of trying to recoup the cost of making these costumes, we saw it as an opportunity to help children across the country,” said Levine. “In this business, it’s about making kids happy. I know that these pirate outfits are going to a great cause and will indeed make thousands of kids happy in their time of need.”

K.I.D.S. is a global charity that distributes new clothes, shoes, books, toys, juvenile products and back-to-school items to children in need through more than 1,000 grassroots non-profit agencies. Aeromax’s generous donation is just the latest in a string of charitable giving for the company. Last November, they donated 20,000 alien paratrooper toys valued at over $50,000 to a different children’s organization, Kids Wish Network.
