AmericasMart Entertains Explosive Growth in Gourmet, Gift and Houseware Segment with More than 400 Lines

The recognized growth of AmericasMarts’ gourmet, tabletop, giftware, living and entertaining, and housewares is soaring to a new heights as more than 400 lines will be on display for buyers and exhibitors at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market Jan. 11-18 (Temporaries: Jan. 13-17), with the Atlanta International Area Rug Market featuring the National Oriental Rug Show taking place Jan. 12-15 (Temporaries: Jan. 13-15).

Adding to the excitement in this category is the building of a 13-foot-wide corridor that connects the eighth floor of Building 2 to the eighth floor Building 2 WestWing, allowing attendees easier access to all segments leading right up to the gourmet demonstration kitchen.

The product center and its impressive kitchen have ignited exhibitor excitement and participation while attracting retailers from across the nation. Consumer demand is strong and growing in these market segments and AmericasMart has responded with a holistic, cross-merchandising approach that fosters an overall lifestyle living and entertainment synergy that is unmatched.

Leasing has been robust on the gourmet/housewares and tabletop/living and entertaining segments, both in new showrooms and expansions.

Among the major new activity:

  • Bormioli Rocco, an Italian company that offers wine glasses, tumblers, plates, storage and gift ideas for the home, is opening its first corporate showroom in Atlanta, and will have 552 square feet in 8114A.
  • White Ginger, a rep company featuring gifts, stationary and entertainment products, will be located in 811, Building 2.
  • á la carte, a sales rep firm that has several important lines such as Atlantis, Dr. Vranges, Lifetime Brands, Ego-Alter, et al Designs, Secrets de Provence, La Mediteranea, Lunares, Paderno, Rosenthal, Versace, Traditional Sud, Thomas, Sambonet and Vista Alegre/Atlantis, now has 2,678 square feet of space located at 893.
  • Keller Charles, which offers gifts and tabletop accessories, is opening a showroom at 931B.
  • Welcome Home, a rep firm selling exclusive tabletop lines, will open a showroom on the ninth floor of Building 2, 933.
  • Annie Modica is opening a 603 square foot showroom in 828B to showcase her hand-made decoupage butler-style trays, lazy Susans, wastebaskets, tissue box covers and stools.
  • PJ Maxwell, which offers household gadgets, has 311 square feet of space located at 8101A.
  • Browne Co., a high-end housewares company, is opening its first corporate showroom in Atlanta and will have 221 square feet of space located at 874B.
  • Red Vanilla and its line of tabletop, housewares and gifts will open a 968 square foot showroom at 801A.
  • Jason Products, which offers gift and entertaining accessories, will be located at 936A.
  • K. Hall, which offers lifestyle accessories, will be located at 936B.

    In addition, the following renewed their leases:

  • Hermes, a line of fine tabletop and gifts, renewed its 603-square-feet showroom on 863 A.
  • Rothschild Farms, a gourmet food firm, renewed its lease for showroom 870.
  • Arnold Larson, which offers gifts, renewed its lease at 861A.
  • Salem Baking, which offers a gourmet food, renewed its lease at 868.
  • LS Arts, and its line of housewares, tabletops and gifts, renewed its lease at 887.

  • Synergy Sales, a sales rep for gift, housewares and tabletop, has expanded from 4,000 square feet to 5,000 square feet and is located at 837.

  • Ben Tally, a sales rep firm for several housewares companies, expanded from 1,558 square feet to 2,075 square feet and is located at 8109.
  • LifeGuard Press, which offers gifts and licensed stationary products, expanded its showroom located at 813A.
  • Social Trends, which offers a line of gifts and accessories, expanded its space at 812B.
  • Simply Designz expanded its gift offerings and is located at 857A.
  • Guzzini and its line of Italian-made housewares products expanded from 241 square feet to 611 square feet and is located at 8119B.
  • Home Essentials & Beyond added another 1,533 square feet to its showroom located at 838.
