Archie Manning to Present Keynote at GHTA Conference
Grand Rapids, Mich. — The Gift and Home Trade Association (GHTA), the industry’s non-profit professional trade association, announced that former NFL Pro Bowl Quarterback, League MVP, and New Orleans-native, Archie Manning will present the keynote address at its 8th Annual Conference to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, on November 18-20, 2010. Manning, who has an extensive business and entrepreneurial background, will address issues of leadership, dependence, flexibility and “playing the game.” His warm personality, drive and sense of humor have inspired people across the nation.
“Mr. Manning’s knowledge, talents and experiences transcend his athletic abilities and will inspire industry members immensely,” says Doug Cofiell, chairman of the GHTA board. “We are honored to have him as a guest and will look forward to benefiting from his immense experience and insight.”
Manning, who is the father of NFL stars Peyton and Eli Manning, has long been involved in the New Orleans community, working with a wide variety of charitable and civic causes. He currently serves in public relations and consulting capacities for several local, regional and national companies including Reebok, Gatorade, Direct TV and CBS Sports. He is also a decorated athlete and individual, having been recognized for his many accomplishments on and off the field.
“The GHTA continues to provide a great forum for industry members to network, share ideas and experiences, contribute expertise and gather valuable insights with its annual conference,” says Diane Carnevale Jones, executive director of the GHTA. “This year’s conference will be no different. GHTA members and non-members will have the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge of nationally-recognized speakers, while also enjoying the special culture and character of the city of New Orleans.”
