Atlanta Market offers expanded resources this summer

Registration is now open for the Summer 2021 Atlanta Market, July 13-19, 2021, which marks an advancement in its post-pandemic rebound with an expansive product offerings since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis.

“The optimism of the first half of 2021 is amplified for the summer market,” said Bob Maricich, CEO for International Market Centers (IMC). “Buyers and sellers are preparing for a strong market as industry recovery continues and business approaches pre-pandemic levels.”

Resources

Atlanta Market expects expansion in showroom and temporary resources for the July buying event.

“We are on a strong growth path,” explained Scott Eckman, chief revenue officer for IMC.  “Early commitments for new leases and expansions, and healthy trade show sales signal the return of the unmatched depth and breadth of lifestyle product that is a hallmark of the Atlanta Market experience.”

For summer 2021, with nearly 800 lines will be presented in socially distant temporary booth configurations on nine floors across the three-building AmericasMart campus. Highlights include a selection of artisanal gift products returning to Building 3, Floor 2 after a Winter 2021 relocation, plus the new The Gallery Collection, a curated presentation by members of the Museum Store Association that is open to all market buyers. This reopening and category launch are part of an ongoing reorganization of Atlanta Market’s temporary collection to create new synergies and accessibility to product categories.

Updates also are found throughout Buildings 1 and 2 as IMC continues the Atlanta NEXT reorganization of the market’s 1,000+ gift and home decor showroom offerings. Anchoring the continued progress on the Building 1, Floor 1 lobby is the opening of a new ground-floor showroom for design-driven lighting brand Currey & Company. AmericasMart features 300+ home décor showrooms presenting lighting, accent furniture, rugs, wall décor, casual furniture and linens on 12 floors in Building 1. Some 700+ gift and lifestyle showrooms are located on 19 floors between Buildings 1, 2 and 3 showcasing gift and specialty categories including children’s, gourmet foods and housewares, garden and outdoor living, lifestyle, tabletop, seasonal and more.

In-Person and Online Experiences

Atlanta Market plans an engaging in-person experience with at-market installations including a tribute to the 2021 Greeting Card Association LOUIE Award finalists, instagrammable moments, trend vignettes, live entertainment and more. Additionally, five design and lifestyle influencers will be onsite to share favorite product finds and market moments on social media as trend ambassadors. The AmericasMart App and the Buyers’ Guide will serve on-campus orientation tools.

Juniper Market

Buyers also have the opportunity to learn more about IMC’s new B2B e-commerce platform JuniperMarket – set to launch later this year – via “Preview Pods,” which will be staffed with system experts who can provide a demonstration, answer questions and facilitate registration for the new e-commerce platform. Users can pre-register now via JuniperMarket.com and at registration.

Before market, expanded virtual tools prepare attendees for their visit to AmericasMart. On AtlantaMarket.com, IMC continues to update the exhibitor directory tool, which now features more than 1.5 million searchable products. Additionally, more content on the Atlanta Remote page includes business and trend education presented as webinars as well as links to the Atlanta Market Magazine and the Market Snapshot product showcase. The Summer 2021 webinar content calendar includes panel discussions with award-winning retailers plus deep dives into the in-person retail experience, merchandising, merging the digital and in-person market experience and more.

For the Summer 2021 Atlanta Market, showrooms are open July 13-19, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and temporaries are open July 14-18, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Pre-registration & Safety Protocols

Pre-registration is requires and can be completed online at AtlantaMarket.com/Attend/Registration. The Summer 2021 Atlanta Market will follow IMC’s Together Safely protocols. On-campus safety procedures include the required use of PPE, temporal checks, capacity limits and social distancing measures.
