BESTofShowShop.com launches in the wholesale gift marketplace
BEST of Show, the wholesale gift marketplace’s fully branded, non-sales-rep-driven showroom collection, announced the launch of the B2B wholesale buying platform, BESTofShowShop.com. The new platform launches with 25,000 buyers registered to shop, offering thousands of manufacturers and brands an innovative, cost-effective way to showcase their products.
BESTofShowShop.com is exclusive to wholesale buyers selling products online, on social media, and in brick-and-mortar locations. Manufacturers selling on BESTofShowShop.com represent a broad channel of giftware — bath and body, fragrance, fashion and accessories, gourmet food, inspirational, stationery, and more.
The website launched two years after BEST of Show’s highly selective, upscale showrooms opened at AmericasMart Atlanta and Las Vegas World Market Center, known industry-wide as the two most significant trade shows in the general gift wholesale space.
BEST of Show showrooms feature 80 juried brands in 10,000 square feet of prime selling space and have ushered in new energy and style to an aging buying and selling experience. Visiting a BEST of Show space is dynamic and energizing to buyers. The experience includes Apple-store style greeters, food and drink, and live entertainment, including professional drag shows.
“While we will continue to build and strengthen relationships in our showrooms, we know that traveling to trade shows can be costly and attending takes precious time away from operating a business,” said Molly Wilson, founder of BEST of Show and an industry veteran. “Offering a convenient, more affordable online marketplace is good for the buyer, the seller, and everyone’s bottom line.”
Wilson’s foray into the wholesale gift marketplace began as a teenager attending a regional trade show for a part-time job at a Hallmark store. More than a decade later, she bought that store and grew it to a 6,000-square-foot destination mercantile store, and in 2013 launched a gourmet food CPG brand, now called molly&you, which sells to 4,000 independent retailers and is in Walmart nationwide with her Mug Cake creations.
“As an entrepreneur who has experienced both sides of the buying and selling process, I felt compelled to find a more dynamic, supportive way for manufacturers to sell while offering buyers the ability to shop from their laptop if and when they choose to do so,” said Wilson.
