Blissliving Home Announces Website Re-Launch

Rockville, MD – Blissliving Home, the interior lifestyle brand for the stylish consumer seeking modern design with a global influence, is announcing the re-launch of the company’s web site. The site went live Wednesday, February 10, 2010.

Available to consumers, trade, and interior designers, Blissliving Home has been servicing all audiences through the company’s e-commerce web site from the very start. Launched in January 2007, the original site was designed as a user-friendly yet inspiring and exciting shopping destination communicating the Blissliving Home brand experience through breathtaking, oversized photography and enticing product descriptions.

Leveraging the latest in social media, Blissliving Home has now redesigned the web site to become an interactive community for consumers, retailers, and interior designers alike and to further enhance the Blissliving Home shopping experience.

“Successful home textile and interior lifestyle brands today have to have an online presence – not just through their web site but also in the social media,” said Mei Xu, Creator & CEO of Blissliving Home. “At Blissliving Home, we observe and monitor marketing and consumer lifestyle trends in the consumer goods industry as a whole. Housed on an OS Commerce platform, the new web site is designed in two software programs. All ecommerce functionality is built in OS Commerce format, while all community features are WordPress based. 

Some of the most notable new community features include a robust blog with reader comments and reply to thread feature, a customer photo gallery where customers can share product and decorating tips, a video gallery featuring product related videos, special interviews and event highlights, a virtual catalog with easy zoom and PDF download for all or any pages, a free wallpaper download section, an expanded “About the Team” section with team photos and rotating notes from team-members, an interactive press section, a trade show calendar, a sales tools section, and many others.

Some of the new shopping features include the shop how you want feature (shop by product, shop by color, shop by trend/lifestyle, and shop for a cause), larger product photos and Lightbox style zoom, customer product reviews, a gift registry powered by MyRegistry.com, an easily accessible size guide within product pages, product videos featured within product pages, check-out specials, share button on every product page for easy postings on all social media channels, tell-a-friend feature on each product page, and a new store-locator functionality.

All of the features listed above went live with the web site re-launch on February 10 – with the exception of the free wallpaper download, “About the Team” section, and shop by color and shop by cause functionalities which will launch over the coming weeks.
