DIFFA’S Dining by Design 2008: Chalkboard China

(Dallas, TX) – Chalkboard China was recognized by Design Industry Foundation Fighting Aids (DIFFA) designers to be the tabletop must-have for any occasion.

Chalkboard China, the latest product line from Cooper & Brinkley’s, a Dallas-based creative team, made its DIFFA debut at the 2008 Dining By Design event on September 26 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas.

DIFFA’s Dining by Design brings together some of the most talented and celebrated individuals in the worlds of fashion, interior design, art, and architecture, to create spectacular dining environments. Designers Robin Scrogan for Di Fiori and Brana Rope for RSVP Soiree topped off their organic glam-themed tablescape with a Chalkboard China 10″ plate—detailed with calligraphy and stick of chalk. The two design teams envisioned a juxtaposition of earthy organic elements (green and pink hydrangeas flourishing from birch baskets) mixed with glamorous urban materials (black laquered dining table for ten and ornate silver base plates Chalkboard China’s versatile charger plates tied both aesthetics together perfectly.

“We came across Chalkboard China as we began building our 2009 collections, and immediately fell in love with the blank slate chargers and salad plates,” says Rope of RSVP Soiree. “The collections are sleek in their presentation but utilitarian in execution. A base plate that clients can hand draw logos onto? Brilliant.”

Chalkboard China’s 2008 Collection includes tasteful centerpieces, wine glasses, carafes, place settings, and more, that you can decorate – and redecorate – for every occasion.
