CIB announces Third Annual Collectors’ Choice Awards

(Grundy Center, IA) — The Collectors’ Information Bureau (CIB), a trade association comprised of top manufacturers in the field of collectibles and giftware, announces its third annual Collectors’ Choice Awards. Qualifying manufacturers are invited to submit their 2008 products for award consideration by November 30. The 2008 awards program will recognize the best and most coveted collectibles and related products across nine categories. New categories for 2008 include Holiday: 1. Halloween and 2. Other Non-ornaments.

A panel of distinguished leaders in the collectibles industry will select the top five nominees in each category. Then, voting will become open to the public, allowing consumers to select their top choices in each category. Ballots will be available online beginning March 1, 2009 at www.collectorsinfo.com and in the Spring 2009 issue of Collector Editions. A final awards presentation will be held at the Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market at the AmericasMart, July 2009. Collectors’ Choice Award winners will also be recognized in the 2009 Fall issue of Collector Editions. CIB member companies are invited to submit up to three entries, one per category, at no cost. Additional entries and entries for non-members are $50 each. Submissions must be received by November 30, 2008. Manufacturers can enter products in multiple categories, and all products must be new for 2008.
