Cyan Design partners with Thom Filicia

Texas-based Cyan Design launched a partnership with interior and product designer, author, and television personality Thom Filicia to develop a collection of decorative accessories.

Filicia is founder and principal of New York City-based design firm Thom Filicia, Inc. He is also the driving force behind the Thom Filicia Home Collection.

The Thom Filicia Home Collection for Cyan Design will showcase refined pieces with handmade quality. These items will boast a dynamic and artisanal approach in form, function and scale. According to the company, Thom Filicia’s collection for Cyan Design is inspired by textures, colors and patterns in the world, taking cues from nature while retaining a tailored approach.

The collection will “play well with others,” according to Filicia. “We love having decorative pieces feel unique and special,” he said. “From metal, to wood, to glass — there’s a great diversity of materials. So, it’s something we were really excited about.”

Filicia says his style is about balancing refined and raw, which perfectly complements Cyan Design’s brand.

“I think that’s what we were looking for at Cyan because they have the capability to do that so beautifully,” he said. “I’m excited that it’s going to feel collected and curated.”

Cyan Design is excited to partner with Filicia as a brand, but also thrilled to collaborate with his team. President Jose Lopez, noted, “As a collective, Thom and his staff are a group of talented industry experts with years of experience and knowledge on what it takes to create perfectly executed designs for today’s styles and tastes.”

To kick off the partnership, Filicia has hand-selected an assortment of existing Cyan accessories. Thom’s Favorite Things are the foundational elements that piqued Filicia’s interest and sparked his relationship with Cyan Design. The collection was leveraged by an announcement and presentation led by Filicia at the Spring 2023 High Point Market.

The Thom Filicia Home Collection for Cyan Design is slated for release at High Point Market, this fall, October 2023.
