Dallas Market Center and ART to Host Look & Learn Student Day

Dallas Market Center (DMC) and ART, the creative home furnishings network, today announced the third annual Look & Learn Student Day will be held at DMC on Jan. 17 during the Total Home & Gift Market, Jan. 16-22.

Look & Learn Student Day offers more than 70 students from area colleges including the University of North Texas and Wade College the opportunity to get a first-hand look at the wholesale business and learn what opportunities are available after graduation, such as internships and careers. It has grown 50 percent since its inception three years ago.

Look & Learn Student Day will feature a tour of showrooms including: Classic Home, Currey & Company, Dallas Design Supply, Global Views, Taylors on Ten as well as discussions led by several industry panelists and a walk-through of Design FINDS and Luxury Home FINDS.

The students are invited to “Get Social” by posting photos of products, displays, layouts, designs or any item that inspires them to Twitter with the #DMCstudentday hashtag or to DMC’sFacebook. A Pinterest board will be created with the photos submitted by students.
