Design Legacy Announces New Javits Center Location

Kelly O’Neal and partner Rene Gutierrez have announced the recent move to the Javits Center at NEW YORK NOW (previously the NYIGF) in New York City. The decision to move was prompted by the changes made to pier 94 where Design Legacy was previously located. Kelly is looking forward to new scenery and invites you to join us for afternoon snacks and light drinks.

Design Legacy’s home furnishings line is a direct result of the items O’Neal began manufacturing for his own retail store, the famed “legacy trading co.” which operated in Dallas and Fort Worth for close to 20 years. Now focused fully on the needs of other retailers, O’Neal has an innate sense of what appeals to both large and small outfits. His love of natural elements and antiques is a trademark in his home furnishings collection. O’Neal’s world-class antique print collection is the library from which his pillow, wall art and textile collections are born. Design Legacy’s goods are a staple in more than 4,000 specialty stores worldwide.

“The changes should allow us to shine even brighter,” explains O’Neal. “Gathered more efficiently with our peers and friends, the upgraded location should make buyers happy with the ease of an improved categorical layout.”

O’Neal’s work and Design Legacy’s products frequently grace the pages of a veritable who’s who of industry and shelter publications including Cottage Living, O Magazine, Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Rug News and Design and House Beautiful.

HGTV Home Editor, Jennifer Berno, describes her enthusiasm for the line: “Design Legacy is one of my favorite resources for furniture, lighting, art and accessories that have real personality. Putting one of Kelly O’Neal’s designs in a room (or on a set) adds that instant layer of special that sets it apart from those seen-em-a-million-times spaces.”

Last year, artist and entrepreneur Ashley Spencer had this to say on her blog, “I went back to Kelly O’Neal of Design Legacy’s showroom twice. I couldn’t get enough of his butterfly and bug fabrics fashioned into chairs and small benches that make major statements.”
