Textillery Weavers Names Diane Baker & Company Midwest Sales Agency

Bloomington – Diane Baker & Company has been named Midwest sales agency for woven accent and design trend leader Textillery Weavers. Representing the Bloomington, Indiana-based company’s full line of hand-woven throws and top of bed designs throughout Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota, Diane Baker & Company will also feature Textillery’s newest introductions during the July 19-25, 2007 Chicago Market in its showroom at The Merchandise Mart, #12-205.

With 30 years of extensive experience in the textile and tabletop industries, Diane Baker & Company represents a number of high end US and European lines.

“Diane’s background and strong relationships with high-end retailers and designers throughout the region, coupled with her love of this business, make her the perfect match for Textillery,” explains A John Rose, president, Textillery Weavers. “We look forward to partnering with her to continue building our business “

Representing Churchill Weavers for 13 years, company principal Diane Baker approached Textillery Weavers after Crown Craft, Churchill Weavers parent company, closed the business earlier this year. “Textillery had always been our main competition,” explains Baker. “I am excited with the breadth of the line and pleased to bring my customers a product category they’ve come to expect from me. We believe our customer base, which is predominantly higher end retailers, will appreciate what Textillery has to offer.”

Baker will work with her home accent retail and design customers throughout Illinois and parts of Wisconsin while her associate, sales representative Regina Wilson, will represent the line in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Known for color and texture, Textillery offers more than 600 styles and 75 solid colors to choose from in its versatile hand-woven and jacquard woven collections. Designs include checks/houndstooth, jacquard, multi-texture, pinstripe, plaids, solids and stripe designs. While many designs are woven in rayon chenille, Textillery has added rayon straight yarns, cotton, acrylic, and linen yarns to the collection over the years. Many throws can be hand-washed or machine-washed. All designs are woven in the United States, and all hand-woven items in the line are made exclusively in Textillery’s Bloomington, Indiana studio.
