Global Pet Expo ranks 46th Largest Trade Show

With the 2020 event just around the corner, Global Pet Expo officials are proud to report that the Show was ranked 46th Largest Trade Show at Trade Show Executive Magazine’s (TSE) Gold 100 Awards & Summit, which took place Sept. 25-27, 2019 in San Diego, California. The Gold 100 recognizes the 100 largest shows that “set the gold standard” for the trade show industry.

“To be ranked among the top shows in the nation is a tremendous honor for our team. As the largest pet products trade show in the country, Global Pet Expo plays a significant role in supporting the growth of this $72 billion industry in the United States,” Andy Darmohraj, executive vice president and COO for American Pet Products Association (APPA) said. “We are dedicated to working year-round each and every year to improve the Global Pet Expo experience for all attendees. The Show’s impressive, continued growth across the board has made it the must-attend industry event of the year.”

TSE has recognized Global Pet Expo every year for the past 10 years in its Gold 100 Awards, making it the most honored pet products trade show. In 2015, the event was named TSE’s Show of the Year.

APPA and Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA) will present the premier industry event, Global Pet Expo, Feb. 26-28, 2020 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, and is the first industry trade show of the year. It’s an opportunity for qualified buyers and media to see first-hand all the hottest and newest pet products before they hit store shelves.

The 2019 Show featured 1,174 exhibitors, 3,604 booths, covering 360,400 net square feet of exhibit space—more than 16,000 feet larger than the 2018 Show. Nearly half of the 7,029 qualified buyers were first-time buyers, representing 81 countries around the world were in attendance.

Global Pet Expo is open to independent retailers, distributors, mass-market buyers, and other qualified professionals. This show is not open to the general public. For more information, please visit www.globalpetexpo.org.
