Heartstrings closes its doors

“The decision to close an operation is always a very difficult and emotional one. There is no good time to implement such a decision. Our retailers and our employees remain a priority even at the time of this closure. Customers have been notified of our decision to close operations. While we have ceased accepting orders, we are actively assisting our retailers in transitioning to other suppliers within the personalized jewelry and gift category by recommending several of our competitors. We are also providing assistance and resources to our employees who have been impacted. When we acquired Heartstrings, it was very much a turn-around situation. We have made every effort to make this acquisition a success story, but this time it was not the case. In staying true to its entrepreneurial roots, Grace Management Group realizes that sometimes you face failure; however, it’s in the failure that you learn the most to regroup and move forward stronger and wiser. We often speak internally that we want to be an organization that is “Willing to Try. Willing to Fail.” This is far from our first failure, and I’m certain it won’t be our last either. We will never cease in trying new things for fear of failing.”

-Bob Caldwell, Jr., president of Grace Management Group.
