IMC’s High Point Market offers Instagram takeover with seven design experts

International Market Centers (IMC) expands its Market Pros to the Fall High Point Market with seven design experts set to take over the DesignOn HPMKT by IMC Instagram account to share new finds during the Oct. 16-20, 2021 buying event.

“With the breadth of design-driven product offered by exhibitors in IMC’s 17 High Point properties, the Market Pros are an invaluable resource for buyers to discover the product that matches their styles,” said Dorothy Belshaw, executive vice president and chief customer and marketing officer for IMC. “After the Market Pros successful launch at High Point in June, we are excited to expand the reach of this program, which has become a hallmark of the helpful market planning tools designed and offered by IMC.”

The Fall 2021 Market Pros bring unique perspectives to the program with seasoned and new designers from a variety of disciplines including a product designer, artist, brand ambassador, retailer, reality show star and more.

In preparation for their Instagram takeovers, the Market Pros have shared advice – from what to wear to how to schedule market days to reminders to socialize – at IMCHighPointMarket.com/market-pros:

On what to discuss in an appointment, Harrison says, “The first thing I ask an Exhibitor is, ’What among your offerings can I customize to suit the individual needs of my clientele?’ Bespoke designs are essential for discerning individuals wanting access to one-of-a-kind and made-to-order objects and materials to incorporate within their project, and it’s my job to prioritize their desires and fulfill those requirements.”

Luke explains how he looks for trends: “I actually follow fashion, women’s fashion in particular, very closely. Fashion trends always translate into interior design trends a season or two after. I usually know what to expect, but it’s the surprises that really excite me. I love to be wowed and caught off guard. That’s what truly keeps this industry exciting.”
