Store sells inspiring home accessoriesBy Evelyn LongaNews-Press.com

Talking shop with Karen Benson, owner of Inspire, a home accessories boutique that opened last week in downtown Fort Myers.

The store sells home furnishings and decorative accessories. There are plans to sell slipcovers and to offer design seminars.

“The store is divided into two different rooms,” Benson said. “On the left side is the urban eclectic contemporary side and it’s painted black. On the right hand side is my coastal living room with whites and blues. They’re both kind of organic, but I’ve also found some fun gift items.”

Inspire is at 2037 West First Street, near Centennial Park in Fort Myers. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 pm. Monday through Saturday. Call 334-4111.

Benson is an interior designer and also owns a design studio, Karen L. Benson & Associates Interior Design, a few doors down from the store in a separate building.
