Pictures and frames now part of the Giving and Living fairs

(Frankfurt, Germany) — At the next Ambiente from Feb. 13-17 2009, exhibitors of pictures and frames will make their presentations as part of the Giving and Living fairs. With this step, the pictures and frames sector is now positioned in a target-group oriented and thematic setting.

This is a reaction to developments in the market over recent years and exhibitors will now be able to make better use of Ambiente’s broad product spectrum and high degree of internationality.

“Many suppliers of pictures and frames are confronted by a rapidly changing situation in the market and new consumer trends. Therefore, more and more innovative exhibitors – from exclusive galleries to market leaders – want to make their presentations in the immediate vicinity of furnishings and gift articles”, says Sabine Scharrer, Director of the Living fair at Ambiente.

In 2008, the sector was located in the Gallery section in Hall 6.0. From 2009, visitors to the leading international trade fair for consumer goods will find suppliers of pictures and frames in two new halls. Interiors & Decoration in Hall 4.2 stands for high-grade modern and emotional furnishings. It is aimed at international buyers from furniture stores and boutiques, as well as design-oriented galleries, and is thus the ideal setting for original works of art, graphic art and high-grade art prints.

The market leaders taking part will include International Graphics Walmsley, Målerifabriken and Walentowski Galerien. In Gifts Unlimited in Hall 3.1, visitors will find pictures, prints and postcards in the ‘Papeterie’ section and, therefore, as part of the ‘Giving’ fair. The exhibitors in this section will include Eurographics and Platin Art.
