Beautiful, unique bracelets for all walks of life and occasions can now be found at the Bradford Regional Medical Center Auxiliary HeartStrings gift shop which introduced its new Luca & Danni jewelry line Monday.

Stephanie Huber, executive director of the auxiliary and manager of the non-profit gift shop, said the facility began selling the American-made jewelry because of its quality and affordability.

“The price line is $28 up to $78” and is designed for ages 8 to 88, Huber said of the bracelets made from lead-free premium alloys, high-quality Swarovski crystals and natural gemstones.

The gift shop raises funds for the auxiliary, which sponsors annual nursing scholarships for area students and provides funding for other hospital projects.

In addition to the new jewelry line, and other items such as earrings, HeartStrings also carries a variety of gifts, food, beverages and floral items. Gift wrapping is also provided at the facility.

Huber said the auxiliary recently connected with the Luca & Danni line and believe it will be a good fit for the gift shop and area.

“Luca & Danni is not offered in this area, or in this part of (nearby) New York state.

“What is popular about this brand is a lot of these pieces can be worn together,” Huber said while placing two bracelets on her wrist. “We also have some gift sets coming in that range from $55 dollars to $125.”

The company also has a line of classic bracelets which have gold chains with sliders to cinch up or loosen the jewelry to fit one’s wrist. Huber noted the bracelets are also created by hand and hand-pressed.

“Each bracelet comes with its own story,” she continued.

The overall story of the company is provided by founder and CEO Fred Magnanimi, who created the business in 2014 following the death of his brother, Danny, who died from leukemia at the age of 33.

“Danny’s dream was to create a unique line of of handcrafted, American-made jewelry that inspired others through the journey of life,” Maganimi wrote of his jewelry line. He said the business, fueled by his late brother’s passion, was named for his own children.

Jeanne Lowe, an auxiliary board member and volunteer at the gift shop, said she has already sold several of the bracelets.

“I think they’re lovely, they give good choices on whether you want a birthstone-type bracelet with a crystal” or a bracelet with designs that include butterflies, hummingbirds, crosses, angels, starfish or other emblems, she said. “There really is something for everybody.”
