New resources, new website highlight December 2015 Grand Strand Gift & Resort Merchandise Show

The Grand Strand Gift & Resort Merchandise Show attracted souvenir, resort, home accessory retailers as well as jewelry, apparel and specialty stores throughout the Atlantic Seaboard to the December 6-9, 2015 edition held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Adding to its appeal, the nation’s largest, longest-running coastal souvenir, resort gift show welcomed a growing number of new, first-time vendors for retailers to explore and hosted the launch of a brand new website.

“Coastal and resort retailers rely on the annual Grand Strand Gift & Resort Merchandise Show as an easy-to-reach, affordable trade show destination with a versatile selection that’s custom-tailored to their store’s needs,” said Donna Guess, vice president of souvenir shows, Urban Expositions. “The show continues to attract the nation’s top beach, souvenir and resort lines as well as breaking new product introductions so retailers can see the best possible product mix while they plan their upcoming resort season.”

The Grand Strand Gift & Resort Merchandise Show put the spotlight on 20 new, first-time vendors with a number of special pre-show marketing programs and on-site promotions, ranging from special show floor stickers identifying them as a new exhibitor, to product preview displays and more. These exhibitors were also part of the show’s Best New Product award competition. Voted on by retailers, the December 2015 winner was American Jewel of Valencia, California.

The Urban Expositions team presented Nature Brackets of Fort Meyers, Florida with the new Best Booth award – recognizing the company’s excellence in merchandising and space design.

In addition to the product selection, the show offered a number of buyer services and networking opportunities. Among them were daily $50 Cash Giveaways, where buyers had the chance to enter drawings to win $50 cash. Valerie Davidson, Pirates Plunder, Seattle, WA won the Daily Giveaway Grand Prize — a two night hotel stay during the December 2016 edition.
