Cannon Beach, OR – The Organic Boutique, which opened over the Memorial Day weekend in Cannon Beach, has a name that suggests two things that seemingly contradict each other. The word organic is strongly associated with food production, while the word boutique suggests a small clothing store.

However, Owner Mary Tierney, said the name was chosen deliberately to tell people that the store’s selection of clothing, linens, bath and body products, hair care and skin care products, essential oils, and bulk bath salts are all produced using organic methods.

“Most people who are just learning about organics are learning about it because it’s becoming more mainstream in the food industry,” she said. “Organic goes much deeper than that.”
