Nini’s Treasures Enjoys New Shop
Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Nini’s Treasures is open at The Highlands.
The “unique boutique” carries a variety of fashions, accessories and gift items. Brands include Brighton, Vera Bradley and Pandora beads, said owner Nini Zadrozny.
The new shop is located across from the Marquee Cinemas. Its storefront is situated on the first floor of the West Liberty University Highlands Center building.
Previously located in the Stratford shops off W.Va. 88 in Wheeling, Nini’s new store has 500 more square feet of space. The additional room has allowed her to expand her offerings, which now include items made by local artists, such as jewelry, scarves and purses.
”We couldn’t be more pleased and pleasantly surprised,” Zadrozny said of business at Nini’s. ”I think it’s a good thing. It’s been very positive so far.”
Zadrozny said she loved the atmosphere at Stratford, but after 15 years of business she wanted to try something different and ”on the beaten path.” She noted she has received many compliments about the shop’s look.
”We have a different theme than anyone else. It’s a little more personalized, a little more on the wild side with the leopard and tiger prints,” she said, pointing out the shop’s animal print carpet.
In addition to longtime customers, Zadrozny said her store is enjoying traffic from new people shopping at the retail site, in addition to the many people who work at The Highlands.
”We’ve made it more convenient because they’re up here anyhow,” she said. ”When people come in they’re like, ‘Wow, this is a beautiful place.’ They’re very happy we’re up here. A lot of women say they’re out and about three or four times a week shopping up here anyhow.”
