Profile: ‘Tis the Season Offers Holiday, Seasonal Decor in Mesilla
Mesilla, NM – Every morning is Christmas morning for Laura Romero, owner of the new shop, ‘Tis the Season, in historic Mesilla, which offers rooms full of seasonal and holiday decor.
The first Friday the store, located at 2402 Avenida de Mesilla, opened Romero had a group of six Chicago women peruse through the myriad, colorful and unique merchandise.
“One had moved here recently and was very homesick, so the others came by train and the last day they came to my shop,” Romero said. “They were laughing and chattering and yelling to each other. My shop felt very full. They stood in line three times each. They kept finding things.”
