Rooster Tales a haven for leisurely shopping
Valentine cookies tempted anyone who entered the front door recently at Rooster Tales Antiques, Gifts & Collectibles in Ingleside.
The new shop in town, located at 3045 Main Street in Ingleside, offers several rooms full of antique furniture, scented candles, jewelry, shoes and many other items in the old converted house.
The brainchild of Eileen Morris and Deana Hickman, the small gift shop, boutique and antique store opened its doors recently to members of the Ingleside Chamber of Commerce, for its monthly mixer.
“Eileen and I have been friends for 25 years. We’re always doing something together, buying furniture, fixing it up and selling it,” Hickman explained as she laid out a table with chocolate covered strawberries, cranberry dip and other hors d’oeuvre for her guests.
Deana is the proprietor of North Shore Title Co., and Morris is the broker at North Bay Properties.
“She brings me real estate deals and I close them. We have been friends for a long time and we decided to do this. She already had this place, and we both had furniture we wanted to make new again and sell,” Hickman said.
The kitchen was one room where a shopper could fill a cart with ease.
