Fortunately, it’s no longer a secret. Pace is home to a unique new florist and gift shop named The Secret Garden.

If the catchy name and cute little frog sitting amidst purple flowers on the store’s sign haven’t caught your attention as you drive along U.S. 90, then the story behind the new business will.

Owner Sarah Cummins, 31, is finally realizing her life-long dream of owning her own flower shop. After obtaining a degree in psychology at the University of West Florida and working for 12 years at other flower shops, she’s taken her experience and passion for creating and planted seeds for a blooming business.

“I’ve always wanted a flower shop as long as I can remember,” said Cummins. “I love this kind of work. I’ve been commuting to Pensacola for a very long time. Now my shop is just around the corner from home.”

Cummins said her dream originally stemmed from the movie of the same name. She kept the idea in her head until she realized that a dream is always a dream until you do something about it.
