Two’s Company forms alliance with UK greeting card line Poet & Painter

Two’s Company announced that it will be the sole U.S. representative of award-winning U.K. greeting card product line called Poet & Painter. This alliance represents the company’s recent initiative of identifying every day high-volume commodity products and then offering them to those who strive for finely designed products, an initiative that provides new revenue opportunities for gift retailers.

Artist Lucy Creed established Poet and Painter in 2015 to showcase her artwork as greetings cards, that features humorous verse written by popular British poet Trevor Parsons. In 2017 Lucy was joined by Bryn Dineen: their shared love of visual arts and an untethered approach to creativity has established Poet and Painter as the first stop for clever ideas and fresh original design.

“What attracted us immediately was the fun, fresh and whimsical designs. From there we quickly began to appreciate their re-order rate of over 80% with the existing client base, both large and independent retailers, which reflects the impressive consumer popularity of their cards,” Tom Gottlieb, president of Two’s Company, said.

“You connect with someone else by offering something small. It’s literally in your hand and it’s an extension of you when you open it. We’re all about creating a fun moment for people,” Lucy expressed.

Cards are stocked in many of the high street shops, galleries, museums and online stores as well as hundreds of independent retailers across England, Ireland and Scotland.
