“Shop local” is an often-heard directive, but just how does it benefit you and the community?
It seems to be a simple equation: When you spend your dollars close to home, they will help boost the local economy, provide revenue to the local businesses and jobs for your neighbors who will, in turn, cycle their income back into the community. When you support a local business, you are essentially putting money into the community’s pocket.
