Sherry and Chuck Shaw of Jacksonville are surely counting their blessings. Owners of Jacksonville’s Country Charm Candles, these two began their business seven years ago, and according to Sherry, they hope to be around for many more years.

“I credit God for opening all the doors for us,” said Sherry. “We put a lot of hard work into it … we’ve been blessed.”

As Sherry explains, they both weren’t strangers to the wholesale, management aspect of business. “Chuck was working for a large plant farm, and I worked for 20 plus years in the banking industry. We wanted something that we could call our own.”

The couple first began Country Charm Candles at home, and since then, in seven years time, the business grown into a 6,000 square foot warehouse and a 1,200 square foot gift shop on seven acres of land.
