Dallas is the global home of holidays in June

Dallas Market Center celebrates its unrivalled position as The Home of Holidays during Holiday & Home Expo, June 21-27, a seven day celebration of year-round holiday inspiration for tens of thousands of wholesale buyers from around the world held concurrently with the Total Home & Gift Market.

The dynamic trade event will take place across three buildings and the more than 600,000 square feet of stylish exhibit space dedicated to Christmas, Halloween, Harvest, Springtime, religious holidays and secular celebrations. Holiday décor is a $12 billion industry according to market research agency IBISWorld, and consumer spending on Halloween has risen more than 50 percent since 2006 according to the National Retail Federation.

The center of holiday activity will be the second floor of the Interior Home + Design Center (formerly the Plaza building), which features more than 200,000 square feet of holiday, floral, gift and home showrooms. Buyer hospitality includes complimentary Starbucks coffee at 8:30amWednesday through Friday and afternoon treats on Wednesday and Thursday including popsicles and rice crispy treats. On Saturday, buyers can enjoy an afternoon beer and wine cart. Fridayevening, the festivities hit new heights with a carnival-themed party featuring shaved ice, food, drinks and live music.

Throughout the second floor of the Interior Home + Design Center, the Holiday and Decorative Association is sponsoring a Product Hunt contest. The prizes include an Apple Macbook Air, iPad Mini4, and Apple Watch 2. Special individual showroom receptions and promotions will also be held inside Allstate Floral (2F234), Craig Bachman Imports (2F400), Direct Export (2F310), Hard Core (2F329), Kel-Toy (2F428), OIC International (2F333), Renaissance 2000 (2F101), and Zucker Feather Products (2F329).

“Holiday décor means big business for retailers,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO, Dallas Market Center. “As stores compete to offer more unique and distinct merchandise for holiday celebrations and gift giving, we proudly present the largest selection from the best manufacturers in the world.”

In the World Trade Center and Trade Mart buildings, additional holiday resources will offer buyers unmatched product options for the upcoming selling season including décor but also a wide array of holiday gift giving options. For example, the recent expansion of Glitterville in the Trade Mart means an expanded selection of inspiring décor. Other Trade Mart exhibitors such as Burton + Burton, Transpac, Fantastic Craft, Cliff Price, DEMDACO, Creative Co-Op, Two’s Company, Three Gentrys and many others have sweeping seasonal collections. In the World Trade Center, Mark Roberts, K&K Interiors, Regency, Galt, Old World Christmas, OneCoast, Ivystone, Sullivans, RAZ, DCI, Melrose, Midwest-CBK, Kurt S Adler, Christmas Southwest, Winward, Gold Eagle, and many others will present comprehensive holiday collections. In the Gift Temps on WTC 12, important names such as Roman, Christopher Radko, Nashville Wraps, Cosmos Gift Corporation and Oliver the Ornament will inspire.
