Having Valentine’s Day fall on a Sunday this year could pose a challenge to shoppers who wait until the last possible minute, but there’s still time today to find that perfect gift for their sweetheart.

Roses, cards, jewelry and romantic dinners can still be had on Valentine’s Eve, with some stores staying open extended hours to accommodate last-minute shoppers.

A-Bryan’s Jewelers on Johnston Street plans to open until the last customer leaves this afternoon, and carries a wide range of jewelry to fit every price range.

Fleur de lis pins and pendants are timely and popular gift ideas, and can be worn on earrings, bracelets, anklets and broaches.

The best seller at A-Bryan’s is the fleur de lis necklace, which can range from $20 to $400 and are available in yellow gold, white gold or silver.

“Right now, the fleur de lis are hot,” said A-Bryan’s owner Angie Spallino. “It’s been going for a few years now, but with the Saints winning the Super Bowl, it’s been unbelievable.”
