Gourmet Housewares Show® Expects Innovative Companies From Around the World

White Plains, NY — The 2009 Gourmet Housewares Show® expects unique international first timers and varied sorts of US based exhibitors to take part in the August 8-10 Show in San Francisco. With new, smaller companies joining the ranks of large corporations, the show is sure to please retailers with great price points for every pocket. As the Show approaches, the mounting energy reflects attitudes of retailers and exhibitors alike.

The growing roster of high-end, design-inclined companies includes both well-known companies and also those new to the scene – pairing the small, innovative firms with progressive large corporations that understand being seen by this target buyer is the future of buying

First time exhibitor and President of Marketing and Product Development, Ed Braber of Ecology CWM Network, looks forward to exhibiting their new environmentally friendly Ecology line [which is produced only after considering all environmental impacts of the process and products] saying, “Ecology, by CWM Network from Australia, isa first time exhibitor at the Gourmet Housewares Show and we are excited to be able to exhibit our new tabletop range. [We feel that] in this difficult retail environment it is the factories and retailers that are ableto show something new that will prosper.”

“We are very excited about this year! Not only are we introducing our new breakthrough line, but the revived Gourmet Housewares Show is a perfect place for our debut! After two years in development, we are now ready with the world’s first complete line of children’s kitchen utensils. Our Curious Chef line features 49 items designed for the small hands of 3-10 year old kids. Colorful and safe, they are well-timed for today’s rediscovery of home cooking,” explains Christi Lowell, National Sales Manager of Tailor Made Products, Inc.

Greystone Brands, David Sabin, reaches to a different audience adding, “Wine Things Unlimited is looking forward to the Gourmet Housewares Show in San Francisco as we will be introducing an expanded Collegiate collection of glassware, wine charms and party plates with whimsical representations of the mascots. The Laurel Burch collection of mugs has colorful new designs by this long time favorite artist. New, low, pre-1999 pricing on our top selling Galleria range of glassware will excite customers! We are also very excited to be going back to our roots with the unique line of brands such as Bugatti, Oneida, George Foreman, andRoyce with a focus on innovative product to help drive consumers back into the stores.”

ChefsChoice Company President, Sam Weiner, says, “We are delighted by the return of the Gourmet Show to San Francisco. From industry-leading electric and manual knife sharpeners to best-selling waffle makers, kettles and food slicers we’ll be showcasing the newest and finest in food preparation appliances designed for every budget. The show’s August timing provides the perfect gateway to the all important Fall/Holidays season.

Exhibitors are not the only ones looking forward to success at the Show. Martha Jenkins, retailer for Kitchenworks, also exudes excitement for the Show saying, “Traveling to buy helps all of us to reenergize our focus. New ideas, contacts and experiences can all be gained in the charged environment of the Gourmet Housewares Show. The fact that the Show takes place with the San Francisco International Gift Fair gives buyers the opportunity take part in both with one trip.

You can do your last minute, fun holiday buying at the same time you do your gourmet networking and restocking. And all the while, going to such great restaurants! Even though the economy is working against us this year, I think of this trip as an investment in what promises to be a bright future for our stores and our industry as a whole.”

The Gourmet Housewares Show continues to attract new, innovative exhibitors that see the location and timing perfect for 4th quarter fill-in buying. These additional collaborations will only add to the experience of the growing number of attendees.
