NYIGF Launches Partnership with EditorAtLarge.com

White Plains, NY – Through an exclusive new partnership with Editoratlarge.com, an online community connecting manufacturers and designers with editors of shelter and lifestyle publications, the New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF®) will offer its exhibitors new publicity opportunities for their winter 2010 new product launches.

Editoratlarge.com will post information about exhibitors’ new product introductions and releases about NYIGF news and events on its daily news feed. The site also will post pre-show and “from the show” coverage of the winter 2010 gift and home market.

“We continuously seek out innovative opportunities for NYIGF exhibitors to maximize their visibility,” said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president. “Editoratlarge.com offers unique access to thought-leaders and taste-makers around the world.”

Launched in 2009, Editoratlarge.com serves as a clearing house for new product information for shelter and lifestyle editors. Its team of contributing editors, who are in charge of reviewing product and project submissions and selecting material for inclusion in the editorial database, have worked as style and design reporters at publications outlets such as Architectural Digest, Domino, Elle Décor, Hamptons Cottages & Gardens, House & Garden, as well as now defunct outlets such as Martha Stewart’s Blueprint, Metropolitan Home, O at Home and Western Interiors and Design magazine.

“Our research indicates that almost 90% of NYIGF exhibitors don’t have quality publicity materials,” said Julia Noran, founding partner at Editoratlarge.com. “Editors from print and online publications are hungry for new product information, and we can help exhibitors create and distribute materials that resonate with members of the press.”

NYIGF exhibitors can post their own information to the site, or purchase a reasonably priced “Instant Press Kit” service, which creates a formal press kit for companies in need of public relations support. The package, which includes a 30-minute photo shoot, a 400-word press release about the products and company, and submissions of new product to Editoratlarge.com publications and products database, will be offered at a special rate of $499 for exhibitors who register before January 15, 2010. During NYIGF set-up, Editoratlarge.com staff will meet individually with exhibitors to photograph their new products and develop accompanying materials for distribution to the press before and during market. Editoratlarge.com contributors will select key products from companies utilizing the Instant Press Kit service to be featured as a “NYIGF Product of the Day” in its Featured Article section. Other products will be featured on the site’s project database, which is searched by editors at over 80 print and online publications around the world.
