Gail Swirczynski, the owner of Let’s Frame it Inc. in Waldwick, is celebrating 25 years of enhancing the art and prized possessions of her customers.

Swirczynski said she’s been asked to frame not only the usual paintings, posters and mementos, but more unique and challenging items such as soldiers’ uniforms and a ballerina’s tutu. She put her creativity to work framing one of the first endoscopes, used to photograph the throat, as well as one of the first aqualungs, used for scuba diving.

“My motto is ‘You name it; let’s frame it’,” said Swirczynski. “If you want it framed, bring it in and I’ll give you some ideas.”

The Glen Rock native put her high school art training to work 35 years ago as a photographer’s assistant. She was frequently asked to coordinate frames for the photos that were taken and became an expert, eventually launching her own picture-framing and art-conservation business.
