GS PETS Winter 2019
Pawducts with Purpose By Sam Ujvary

There are companies that create incredible collections for all our house pets. There are companies that spend time and donate money to various organizations around the community. Then there are companies that do both. We call this the perfect storm. Here’s another collection of businesses that use their resources to contribute to creating a better life for our furbabies.

Complete Body Daily

Matthew Kane, co-founder
www.completebodydaily.com

Company mission: Our mission is to improve as many lives as possible with the healing power of hemp.

How do your products serve the mission? Our products are designed to be the highest quality topical and dietary supplements for humans and canines and help with overall wellness as well as pain and anxiety relief. We also donate a portion of sales to charitable causes, specifically around
local animal shelters.

Plans for the future: We are expanding our lifestyle brand to a holistic approach towards wellness and plan to continue educating the public about the benefits of CBD. We are also in talks with partners in Arkansas to begin growing hemp and extracting (there).

How can retailers get involved? We love our retailers and they can reach out to us at Matthew@completebodydaily. com to discuss partnering.

Poppa Artzee

Sal & Bonnie Romano, owners
www.poppz.com

Company mission: To have our products make people happy, and to contribute to the community while doing something we enjoy.

How do your products serve the mission? We serve the mission by donating products to the various rescue groups, such as the Arizona Humane Society, for their fundraisers, which in turn contribute to the adoption of the pets. We participate in the annual nonprofit Shemer Art Center’s “Furry Friends Festival” in Phoenix, held in partnership with the Arizona Humane Society and we donate our products to its art raffle and silent auction. We recognize the importance and need for all homeless pets and how more people are adopting pets rather than buying. We have been designing products that have images that are non-breed specific. These images have been very popular as they can look like everyone’s pet.

Plans for the future: To continue to add products to the line that brings happiness to those who avail themselves.

How can retailers get involved? By supporting their local pet charities or hosting adoption events in their stores. Everyone can do something no matter how small!

Ever Ellis

Rachel Fuller, assistant brand and marketing manager
www.everellis.com

Company mission: Each year, we select a Give Back organization. We design a product around the organization to bring awareness, and donate a portion of the profits back to the organization. This year, our Give Back organization is Canines for Veterans, an organization that provides rehabilitated service dogs to veterans with military-related injuries or PTSD. You can see our Pawprint hats — giveback product — on our website.

How do your products serve the mission? Our Pawprint hat gives a portion of the profits back to Canines for Veterans. We give an additional donation to Canines for Veterans for every social media post using our hashtag #EEGiftingIsGood.

Plans for the future: We will continue to choose a new give-back organization each year, based on nominations from our retailers.

How can retailers get involved? Retailers can encourage their customers to post on social media using our hashtag. They can also make suggestions for future Give Back Organizations on our website. Our goal is to keep our retailers in mind with every decision we make, so it is important to us to choose a Give Back Organization that is impactful for our customers.
