Lauren Parker, editor of Accessories magazine, says that ladylike stud and button earrings are a top trend, since scarves will be in during spring, and longer, dangling earrings would get caught in them. The iconic style of Jackie Onassis is also driving the popularity of pearl jewelry. Joanie Perales of FairyTale Jewelry says, “Freshwater cultured pears are a classic staple in the jewelry industry. Their ability to be worn on a day-to-day basis or on special occasions makes them an extremely diverse organic gem. Dressed up or dressed down, pearl jewelry adds a sense of elegance and style for young fashionistas.”
Look for inexpensive freshwater pearls that come in unique shapes, sizes and colors, such as pinks and grays.
