Pet Krewe switches production to make masks and other PPE products
Pet Krewe, a maker of pet costumes and toys, has shifted its factories from making costumes to creating masks and other PPE products to help pandemic efforts. In the past two weeks alone, Pet Krewe and its team have donated thousands of masks to help medical personnel and others on the front line of this pandemic.
Party & Halloween Retailer reached out to Pet Krewe to learn more about its efforts. In a statement provided by Pet Krewe’s team, we learned much more than just the production side of things, we learned about the New Orleans community and the impact coronavirus is having on its team and residents in the surrounding area.
“We are doing everything we can to assist our community both in New Orleans and globally. Coming from one of the current hot beds, New Orleans, we are severely impacted,” noted Allison Albert from Pet Krewe. “Everyone on my team has a loved one or a neighbor who is impacted at this time.”
“Pet Krewe’s factories have shifted from making pet costumes to making masks and other PPE gear. We have been fortunate to be able to donate thousands of masks over the past two weeks,” she said.
Her parting words: “We are all in this together. When this is over, we will still be here ready to share joy with you and your pets.” The statement was signed: “Much Love, The Pet Krewe Team.”
