Rocky Mountain Gift Show 2020 recaps activity at this winter’s show

The Rocky Mountain Gift and Apparel Show was full of activity this winter, with sustainable new product offerings and trending product categories that cater to the Western United States region. Seminars and networking events were at the top of the list – FEB Fest, which was an opening-day networking event for buyers and exhibitors with a German-style theme featured Bavarian pretzels and free beer from Blue Moon and River North Breweries, with attendance at 150 buyers and exhibitors.

There was also a giveaway this year for an ATV tour and beer growler to buyers during the event. Sunday morning, last day of the show, Retail Minded gave a seminar for both buyers and exhibitors on how to expand their reach titled 5 Solutions to Attract New Customers & Retain Existing Ones in 2020 & Beyond.

A new Buyer Incentive program was introduced this year for long-standing buyers and new VIP buyers who visit the Denver Mart, select buyers received a $100 dinner gift card to The Woods restaurant at The Source, $100 Uber vouchers, or a free hotel night stay at one of our recommended hotels.

I think it is good marketing to focus on stores that you know are writing the dollars and work with us to keep those dollars in our territory. I had several lovely experiences while I was there and found some new products too. One of my strong lines has a Denver rep that I didn’t even know existed!  So it was good fun and a good experience overall. I thank you for my participation in your VIP package,” said VIP participant Beth from the Main Page.

There were daily drawings of “green tickets” which were given to buyers who placed an order with showrooms and exhibitors during the show. Winners were selected to receive either a $100 Visa gift card or a Swag Bag filled with products sponsored by our exhibitors.

The Denver Mart hosted its Rocky Mountain Gift and Apparel Market February 20-23, 2019. Buyers and exhibitors from around the country were greeted with a revived show experience that was energetic and fun. One February 2020 exhibitor said: We found you on social media and came to the show for the first time!  Show was great and the staff and Denver was so helpful and courteous.

Temporary booths were sold out by January 15, but space was found to expand and accommodate the growing size of the show. The Gift Show also featured the largest availability in the USA for wholesale resort/lodge products.

February 2020 promoted it’s Top 25 New Products. New exhibitor, Jen Lesea Designs took home the Buyers Choice Award for her handcrafted oxidized sterling silver mountain pendant with a 18k gold full moon. The show had 14 new exhibitors that participated in the Top 25 New Product promotion and added 70 New exhibitors and lines to their already impressive lineup.

The Rocky Mountain Gift Show raised over $445.00 in February 2020 with its FEB FEST networking event to benefit Adaptive Adventures, which is a local non-profit that provides progressive outdoor sports opportunities to improve quality of life for children, adults and veterans with physical disabilities and their families.

The Denver Mart’s permanent showrooms expanded greatly in 2020, to include an extended, newly built section of the Mart for outdoor showroom retailers. These new outdoor retailers are household names in the Denver, Colorado area that include: Life is Good, Columbia, Hydro Flask, Cotopaxi, Hoka, Kastlfel, Wilcor, Toad + Co., Aksel, and ENO. The Denver Mart is a marketplace perfectly nestled in the growing city of Denver, for wholesale showrooms and temporary exhibitors alike.

The Rocky Mountain Gift Show & Denver Apparel & Accessory Market held August 28-30, 2020 offers another opportunity to see more product. For more information, visit www.rockymountaingiftshow.com and www.denvermart.com.
