Southern Bungalow Fills Niche With Specialty Clothing, AccessoriesBy Karen RohrNewtonCitizen.com

Conyers, GA – Though Kourtney Pegram’s clothing, accessories and gift shop is a small boutique operating amidst a shopping center of big box stores, that could actually work to the business’s advantage, she said.

Pegram opened the family-owned Southern Bungalow in the fall at 1522 Dogwood Drive, in the Conyers Crossroads Shopping Center, which features such big retailers as Belk, Old Navy, Kohl’s and T.J. Maxx. What makes her store stand out is that it offers items shoppers won’t find at those other outlets, plus they get a personal touch with her, the store owner, greeting them and selling them their wares.

“I’ve had to do something a little different,” said Pegram.
