Montgomery, Ohio – The mother-and-daughter team who run the Little Red Gift Shop here have expanded their business to encourage yuletide shopping year-round.

Betty and Kelly Donnellan last week opened the Christmas Shop next door to the Little Red Gift Shop at 7925 Remington Road.

The new store features a variety of holiday-related gift items for people and pets that it will sell year-round.

The Donnellans opened the Christmas store to compliment the Little Red Gift Shop, which carries more than 7,000 items ranging in price from $1.50 (candles) to $400 (Baldwin lamps) as well as a broad collection of wine accessories.

The Christmas Shop adds themed trees, thousands of different ornaments, collector Santas and holiday decorations to the mix.

“There really are not that many year-round Christmas shops in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, so we felt there was a definite need,” Kelly said.

The store offers gifts for everyone and for most occasions. Kelly says most of the items, including everything from hand-painted wine glasses to sports stadium replicas, run for about $20 to $30.

The Donnellans also are Realtors at Sibcy Cline Realtors. Kelly said they opened the Little Red Gift Shop last August to supplement their real estate careers when the housing market turned soft.
